Marmot Basin

Jasper National Park

Jasper Sky Tram
Ever wonder what being on cloud nine is actually like? Well at the Jasper Sky Tram you can experience the next best thing. When you visit the Jasper Sky Tram you will get to travel to the top of Whistlers Mountain on the highest and longest aerial tramway in the Canadian Rockies. After an informative and educational ride to the top of Whistlers Mountain you will get a birds' eye view of Jasper and the surrounding area by being able to see six massive mountain ranges, gorgeous glacier fed lakes and rivers, as well as the entire Jasper town site from 2277 meters above sea level. Got too excited to go and missed breakfast? Don’t panic because while you are enjoying the life at the top, you can dine at the Treeline Restaurant which serves breakfast, lunch and some light snacks. Whitewater Rafting in Jasper
With so many great rivers at our disposal, white water rafting has emerged as one of the most popular activities for visitors in Jasper. Jasper’s Class II and Class III white water on the Athabasca and Sunwapta Rivers has an adventure to satisfy everyone; for those who want a fun family activity to those who want a more thrill-seeking adventure. Not only does rafting enable you to view the magnificent scenery of the Park from a whole new perspective, it is also a great venue for family occasions, parties, and celebrations.
Miette Hot Springs
“Bask in our warmth” accurately describes the Miette Hot Springs. Once you regain your composure after a jaw-dropping drive up the Fiddle River valley, you can enjoy the soothing, mineral enriched water, which flows from the Natural Hot Spring and is cooled from 54 °C to a relaxing 40°C as it enters the pools. Located 45 minutes from Jasper town site and set half way up a mountain, the Miette Hot Springs offer a breathtaking view, two hot pools, two cool pools, cafes, and gift shops.

Columbia Icefield Glacier
On your travels through the Canadian Rocky Mountains, make sure you plan to stop at the Columbia Icefield Glacier. Here you will witness history in the making by walking on the Athabasca Glacier that is still moving between mountains carving a path much like this on and many other glaciers did millions of years ago. Hop on a massive Brewster Ice Explorer that will take you onto the glacier and will allow you to walk around and create memories that will last a life time. Located half way between Banff and Jasper on highway 93 (the Ice field’s parkway) this is the perfect spot to stop, stretch your legs and take in the one of the most unique attractions that Canada has to offer. Tickets can be packaged with your stay, purchased at the Front Desk or picked up right at the Icefield Center.
Wildlife Museum
Nowhere else can you get as close to a Grizzly Bear. Our Wildlife Museum, located on the lower level of the Whistler’s Inn, offers over 100 different animals that you would find in Jasper National Park. Set up as they would be in their natural habitats you can see animals such as Elk, Cougars, Eagles, Big Horned Rams, and the list goes on. Stop by the Front Desk to receive tokens for admission.
